Explanation of the abbreviations
Entry in the development plan according to Baunutzungsverordnung - BauNVO Auszüge aus der Bekanntmachung vom 23. Januar 1990 (BGBl.I S.127)
GE = area zoned for trades and business activities Primarily businesses that do not cause a considerable nuisance may settle in an area zoned for trades and business activities. Among these are businesses of all types, warehouses, stockyards, public enterprises, business establishments, office and administration buildings, filling stations and facilities for athletic activities.
GEe = area zoned for trades and business activities with prescribed limitations with respect to possible emissions into the immediate neighborhood.
GI = industrial district Primarily businesses that due to their emissions are not permissible in other building zones such as residential districts, village communities, mixed districts, core districts and areas zoned for trades and business activities may settle in industrial districts. Among these are businesses of all types, storehouses, stockyards, public enterprises and filling stations.
GIe = industrial district with prescribed limitations with respect to possible emissions into the immediate neighborhood.
MD = village community
Agricultural and forestry businesses, residential buildings, and other businesses that do not cause substantial disturbances as well as handicraft shops that attend to the requirements of the residents may settle in village communities.
MI = mixed district
Residential buildings and businesses that do not substantially disturb residential living, may settle in mixed districts. Among these are e. g. business and office buildings, retail businesses, public houses and restaurants, facilities for administration, horticultural businesses, filling stations.
MK = core district
Primarily commercial enterprises as well as central institutions of theeconomy, administration and culture may settle in core districts.
SO = special district
A special district differs essentially from other building districts according to the purpose for which it is used and the type of utilization. Possible uses are for the tourist trade, shops, shopping centers and large-scale businesses, exhibition and trade fairs, congress halls, universities and clinics.
